About this site
Who publishes this, what it will and will not tell you, and why the page about our own app is the least flattering one here.
This site publishes what happens when a person stops smoking or vaping: the timeline, the withdrawal, the cravings, and every method that has been tested — described by what the research found rather than by how it is sold.
Who publishes it
The same people who make Liberto, a hypnosis app for stopping smoking and vaping. That is a conflict of interest and it is stated on every page rather than buried here.
What that means for the page about hypnosis
The page about hypnosis reports what the clinical reviews concluded, which is that hypnotherapy has not been shown to work better than other methods. Writing anything else would make the other nineteen pages worthless: a reader who catches one page flattering its own product is right to stop believing the rest.
What this site is not
It is not medical advice and it is not a clinician. Pages about prescription medication describe what a drug is and what the trials found; they never tell anyone to take one, change one or stop one. Pages about pregnancy, anxiety and depression say plainly that the decision belongs with a doctor.
Where the figures come from
Every figure — a withdrawal peak, an average weight change, a success rate — carries the body that published it. A number without a source does not go on a page here, because a number without a source is the thing every other site in this subject is already full of.
